Here's the Beef!

The small burgerFYI: That's the small burger!

Denny's Beer Barrel Pub is back on top!

In January, I posed the question "Where's the Beef?" regarding Denny's 11-pound burger. Well, looks like they heard my call and finally put some meat in that tiny burger!

I didn't report on it, but recently the Clinton Station Diner in Clinton, NJ stole the title of "world's biggest burger" for a while with Zeus, a 12.5-pound burger (including a 7-pound patty). Happily, the competition helped Denny's to soar above and beyond, introducing the "Beer Barrel Belly Buster," a 15-pound burger including 10.5 pounds of ground beef. For those who do not excel in mathematics, that means Denny's has reclaimed their crown (or do they pass a belt around, like in professional wrestling?) as the home of the "world's biggest burger."

If you haven't been to katestelnick.com, be sure to drop by and take a look around. For those who have forgotten, Kate Stelnick was the 115-pound college girl that finished off the 11-pound burger. I would guess that it was this publicity that led to the competition.

I think I'll have to go watch the Ziggy Piggy scene from Bill and Ted's Excellent Adventure now . . .
