Who Is Winning?
Are you curious about who is winning the votes in the Champion of Breakfasts tournament?
Every hour or so (but don't hold me to that!), I'll be posting winners from the contest over on the Champion of Breakfasts page.

It was brought to my attention that commenting was not possible due to an error. (Thanks, Jono!)
The problem was due to a removed plugin, and this should now be resolved. If you do see any errors or problems, please contact me using the Contact Form!
At least now I feel better about having not received any comments yet!
Clearly, I'm going to be learning some big lessons in time management over the next 23.5 hours. We are required to blog every 30 minutes. There it was, already 26 minutes into Blogathon, and I just realized that I better start writing another post!
Instead of hastily writing one of the posts about Make-A-Wish that I intend on writing, I am simply posting this to declare my inability to manage time. Of course, anyone who knows me knows this. My personal motto when walking into anywhere late (fashionably or otherwise) is: "If my God is timeless, why can't I be?"
Well, it's 9:30. Time to post this.
By the way, if you'd like to chat, head over to FreeNode IRC and chat in #blogathon. Get instructions here.
Welcome to Blogathon 2006 at The Smarmy Carny! For the next 24 hours, I'll be blogging to help support the Make-A-Wish Foundation® of America.
I'm really excited about hosting the Champion of Breakfasts tournament all day today. During the blogathon, you should see a voting box on most pages. Vote every 25 minutes and help choose the Champion of Breakfasts!
By the way: Once you're done looking around here, head over to Jono's blog, *insert witty title here*. Jono is my monitor during Blogathon, and it's his job to make sure that I stay away and keep posting for the duration of the event! (Hi, Jono!)
Status: Showered, shaven, clean, and raring to go!

Short answer: Read my Blogathon page.
Long answer: On July 29, 2006, hundreds of bloggers from around the world will put their endurance to the test for charity, blogging at least every 30 minutes for 24 hours straight. Bloggers choose the charity and collect sponsorships. At the end of the event, those sponsors fulfill their pledges directly with the charity.
I have decided to participate in Blogathon 2006 this year.
Blogathon 2006 is a blogger-based campaign to raise money for various charities. Participating bloggers will blog for 24 hours straight, from July 29 09:00 EST until July 30 09:00 EST.
The charity I have chosen is the Make-A-Wish Foundation® of America. There were plenty of charities out there to go with, but I really wanted a charity that produces concrete results and impacts individuals. Make-A-Wish® creates so many heartwarming stories with their granted wishes. Of course, Make-A-Wish® is a well-known, well-respected charity, so you know that your money won't be squandered.
For more information, take a look at my Blogathon page. If you're interested in sponsoring me in Blogathon 2006 by pledging to donate to Make-A-Wish®, you don't need to wait until July 29! Just head over to my Blogathon sponsorship page. The page will guide you through the sponsorship process and answer basic questions.
