Free Ice Cream, Anyone?

18 September 2008

How can you possibly pass up Cold Stone Creamery's World's Largest Ice Cream Social?

On September 25, 2008 from 5pm until 8pm, Cold Stone Creamery is giving away free 3 oz. "Make-a-Wish"-sized creations. This free portion is about 60% the size of Cold Stone's "Like It" (small) size, which is approximately 5 oz. The stipulations are that your sample will be Emily or Jack's Creation:

  • Jack's Creation — Marshmallow ice cream with OREO® Cookies, Chocolate Chips and Fudge
  • Emily's Creation — Nutter Butter® ice cream with White Chocolate Chips, Kit Kat® and Yellow Cake

These are two new flavors created by two Make-a-Wish children named — you guessed it — Jack and Emily, who are 9 and 10 years old, respectively.

Why free ice cream? Cold Stone is doing this for a good cause: About 85% of all donations given during that time will go to the Make-A-Wish Foundation.

Visit these official sites for the full "scoop":

Kahala Brands owns Cold Stone Creamery, and some of their other stores are also having giveaways during the last week of the month. If you live near Blimpie, The Great Steak & Potato Co., Samurai Sam’s Teriyaki Grill, or TacoTime you can grab some free stuff from those locations, too! Of course, don't forget to donate to a great charity while you're there!

Free Ice Cream at Cold Stone Creamery

28 September 2006

Cold Stone Creamery is giving away free ice cream tonight for their 5th Annual World’s Largest Ice Cream Social, September 28, 2006, from 5pm to 8pm. There are also "family activities" planned for the night.

What's the special event? Cold Stone is selling stars to benefit the Make-A-Wish Foundation®. Since you're getting a really good value with this free ice cream, you might as well donate at least that cost to Make-A-Wish®. The free product is a 3 oz. portion of Cole's Creation in a cup. The free creation is the new "Make-A-Wish Creation" inspired by Cole, a 10 year old Wish Child from Colorado. Cole’s Creation combines chocolate ice cream with fluffy yellow cake, chocolate chips and rainbow sprinkles.

I wasn't planning on posting this on such short notice, but this is to benefit Make-A-Wish®. Regular readers will remember that I blogged for Make-A-Wish® during Blogathon 2006.

4 March 2006

Head to Arby's on Thursday, March 9, 2006 between 11:00 a.m. and 7:00 p.m. for Free Chicken Tender Day! From the looks of it, they are promising "a free Chicken Tender," so I believe you only get a single nugget-sized piece, though I could be wrong.

Head over to the Arby's Chicken Naturals page for more details. While you're there, click on "TV" and check out the fun Hulk Hogan commercial they've got.

Free Ice Cream from Cold Stone Creamery!

30 June 2005

Free ice cream!Cold Stone's is yummier!

In honor of National Ice Cream Month, Cold Stone Creamery is having their Celebration of Ice Cream during the month of July. On July 2 between 10:00 and 12:00, CSC is giving free samples of the special July ice cream flavors.

Here are the five July flavors:

  • Oatmeal Cookie Comfort – Oatmeal Cookie Batter Ice Cream with Apple Pie Filling, Caramel and Pecans
  • Black Tie Affair – Black Licorice Ice Cream with Raspberries, Cherry Pie Filling and Whipped Topping
  • Fruity Rainbow – Fruity Cereal Ice Cream with Froot Loops®, Strawberries and Blueberries
  • Tangerine Sunset – Tangerine Sorbet with Strawberries, Marshmallow and Whipped Topping
  • Wasabi Chill – Wasabi Ginger Ice Cream with Coconut, Raspberries and Pineapple

My personal favorite will have to be Oatmeal Cookie Comfort. How could you pass that up?

During this two hour period, Cold Stone Creamery will also be giving away one certificate good for free ice cream for a year! You must be present to win, which means your chances will be relatively good!

Again, this is all on Saturday, July 2 between 10:00 and 12:00. Don't miss out on Cold Stone Creamery's Celebration of Ice Cream!

Free Starbucks Ice Cream!

28 June 2005

Free ice cream! Not this much, though!

Here's yet another delicious freebie from a company I don't care much for. The way I see Starbucks, they are exactly like the small, comfy coffe shops I prefer, except they they remove all the things I like about the small coffe shops in the first place. Of course, I have never been a coffee drinker, so I'm not too upset over Starbucks, but when I think about it, I get annoyed.

On July 29, Starbucks is hosting another "Ice Cream Social" and giving away a sample of their ice cream. The ice cream is blended with "real Starbucks coffee," whatever that means.

Here's the small print you don't want to ignore: "Sample size is approximately 4 oz. or less."

As usual, I suggest calling ahead to make sure your location is participating.
